    Katherine Bohn, DO

    Dr. Katherine Bohn was born and raised here in Jacksonville, FL. She recieved her undergraduate degrees in Biochemistry and Psychology from the University of Florida. Afterwards, she left Florida (temporarily) to attend medical school at Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine in Spartanburg, SC. Upon completing her medical education, she received a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree with Research Distinction. She chose to pursue Family Medicine because she is passionate about really getting to know her patients and providing continuity of care throughout all stages of life. Dr. Bohn spends her free time at the beach with her two dogs, at the gym, cooking, netflixing, or spending time with family and friends.

    Mary Vargas, DO

    Chief Resident
    Burrell College of Osteopathic Medicine

    Dr. Mary Vargas was born in Augusta, GA, but raised in Tampa, FL. She received her undergraduate degree in Biological Science at the Florida State University and her Master of Science in Medical Science with a concentration in Women's Health at the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine. She then continued her education at the Burrell College of Osteopathic Medicine in Las Cruces, NM, where she received her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree. She is passionate about providing healthcare for underserved populations both abroad and here in our own communities. Special interests include women's health, rural medicine, pediatrics, and preventative medicine. She enjoys caring for patients at all stages of life and providing patient centered care. In her free time you can find her going on long walks and adventures with her corgi, trying out new recipes in the kitchen, and spending time with her family.

    Emily Abernethy, MD

    Florida State University College of Medicine

    Dr. Abernethy was born in Gainesville, Florida. She went to Florida State University for her bachelor's degree in Biology as well as for medical school. She loved mentoring pre-medical students during her time as a medical student and was involved in the American Medical Student Association, a link between undergraduate students and the medical school. Over her four years as a medical student, developed a strong desire to provide primary care for underserved populations which is the mission of Florida State University College of Medicine. Her passions within medicine include women's health, hospital medicine and HIV care but overall she hopes to leave every patient feeling like they were truly listened to. Her time outside of work is spent visiting with her family, exploring Jacksonville with her fiance or traveling to a new city any chance she gets.

    Breanna Bess, MD

    Morehouse School of Medicine

    Dr. Breana Bess was raised in Augusta, GA. She earned her B.S. in Biology at Georgia Southern University. Throughout her training at Morehouse School of Medicine, she cultivated her passion to serve the underserved and devotion towards primary care. Choosing Family medicine encompassed all of her desires regarding continuity of care, patient education, and the opportunity to heal multiple members of our community. Her medical interests are women's health, adolescent medicine, and social determinants of health. She enjoys watching reality tv, concerts, theatre, traveling, exploring new things and spending time with family and friends.

    Addison Brown, MD

    Florida International University Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine

    Dr. Addison Brown was raised in Ocala, Florida. She received a Bachelor's degree in Health Sciences from the University of Central Florida before attending the Florida International University Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine in Miami, Florida, where led her medical school's Christian Medical and Dental Association chapter and medical humanities journal. She discovered a passion for providing primary care to underserved populations while working on a mobile clinic for uninsured patients. She aims to continue serving these populations throughout her career, with a focus on preventive care and lifestyle medicine. In her free time, Dr. Brown enjoys cooking for friends and family, spending time outdoors, and traveling.

    Laís Cabrera, MD

    Loyola University of Chicago

    Dr. Cabrera was raised in the Miami, FL area. She received her Bachelor's degree from Brown University in Health and Human Biology before attending Loyola University of Chicago. Dr. Cabrera traveled internationally during medical school helping on medical mission trips. She co-developed an educational seminar for medical students focused on addressing vaccine hesitancy among Spanish-speaking patients and lead monthly Spanish practice sessions for students and teachers. In her spare time Dr. Cabrera enjoys spending time with her cats and vintage jewelry shopping.

    Lili Cohen, DO

    Campbell University School of Osteopathic Medicine

    Dr. Lili Cohen was born and raised in Chicago but was tired of the snow and moved to Florida to attend University of Florida for undergrad where she majored in Physiology and Kinesiology with a specialization in Exercise Science. One of her favorite roles in college was being a Special Olympics coach for young gymnasts. She received her medical degree from Campbell University School of Osteopathic Medicine in rural North Carolina where she discovered her passion for treating the underserved population groups. She had the privilege of being the North Carolina student state representative for national Christian Medical and Dental Association. Her special medical interests include obstetrics, pediatrics, and sports medicine. You can find her walking the Jacksonville trails with her rescue dog, spoiling her 6 month old niece, serving at her local church, or in The Swamp cheering on the Gators with her husband and family.

    Anita Fazeli, DO

    William Carey University College of Osteopathic Medicine

    Dr. Anita Fazeli was born in Iran and raised in Melbourne, Florida. She received her degrees in Health Sciences and Spanish from the University of Central Florida. After graduation, she stayed on to work at the UCF Burnett School of Biomedical Sciences and published her research on Huntington's Disease. Dr. Fazeli attended medical school at William Carey University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Hattiesburg, Mississippi and is passionate about providing healthcare access to underserved populations. She has a special interest in refugee and migrant/immigrant health, as well as mental health. She values the opportunity to establish meaningful connections with patients and be an advocate in their wellness journey. In her free time she enjoys reading on the beach, yoga, traveling, and spending time with her husband and 2 mini dachshunds.

    Natasha Narvel, MD

    Florida State University College of Medicine

    Dr. Natasha Narvel was born in London, England but was raised in Jacksonville, FL. She received her undergraduate degree in Health Education from the University of Florida. While at UF she both volunteered and worked for Streetlight, a palliative care organization that focused on providing social support to teens and young adults with chronic and terminal illnesses. It was through her experience that she developed a passion for having long term relationships with her patients. Dr. Narvel received her medical degree from the Florida State University. At FSU she solidified her passion to work in primary care to provide longitudinal preventative care for her patients. In her free time Dr. Narvel loves to travel, trying new foods, and running with her dog.

    Thienly Nguyen, MD

    Louisiana State University at Shreveport

    Dr. Thienly Nguyen was born in My Tho, Vietnam but raised in Shreveport, LA. She received her undergraduate degree in Biology at Centenary College of Louisiana. She attended medical school at Louisiana State University at Shreveport. She is passionate about providing healthcare for underserved and underinsured populations for the Jacksonville community. She also has a special focus in lifestyle medicine promoting patient wellness. She enjoys comprehensive care for family through many decades as their health and life changes. Her fun time activities including hanging out at the beach, traveling, yoga, spin class, and spending time with her family and friends.
