Jonathan Carbungco, DO, MS
Alabama College of Osteopathic Medicine
Family MedicineDr. Carbungco was born and raised in St. Petersburg, FL, also known as the Sunshine City. He received his undergraduate degree in Psychology from the Florida State University. He continued his education at the Alabama College of Osteopathic Medicine in Dothan, AL, earning his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree. Dr. Carbungo discovered his love of medical education as a TA for both Primary Clinical Skill and Osteopathic Principles and Practices courses. He later extended his time in medical school to complete a teaching fellowship where he earned master's degree in Adult Education with a focus on curriculum design, while acting as junior faculty for both the Anatomy and Osteopathic Principles and Practices departments. While at ACOM he was inducted to the Gold Humanism Honor Society and also awarded the Sam Cooper Memorial Award for Professionalism.
Dr. Carbungco completed his family medicine residency at St. Vincent’s in 2025, where he served as Chief Resident. He was drawn to family medicine for its broad scope and focus on preventative care. During his training, he took an active role in recruitment and curriculum committees, participated in organized medicine with the FAFP and DCMS, and volunteered in the IRONMAN Florida medical tent. His professional interests include preventative and primary care for all ages, lifestyle medicine, osteopathic musculoskeletal medicine, and academic medicine, particularly in Point of Care Ultrasound (POCUS) and curriculum design.
Outside of healthcare and education, Dr. Carbungco enjoys walking his dog while listening to podcasts about technology, cooking, trying to keep house plants alive, and binging Star Wars content.

Jan Dela Cruz, DO, MMS
Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine - Bradenton Campus
Family MedicineDr. Dela Cruz was born and raised in Jacksonville, Fl. He majored in Biology at the University of Florida, and returned to Jacksonville as a teacher at his former high school Bishop Kenny, where he first served as a substitute before teaching Chemistry and Chemistry Honors. He then attended the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Bradenton, Fl where he attained his Masters of Medical Science as well his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree. After serving as Chief Resident from 2024-2025, Dr. Dela Cruz graduated from the St. Vincent’s Family Medicine Residency Program and was awarded the Jane Lanier Legacy Award, recognizing a graduating third year Family Medicine resident who displayed commitment to improve the community they serve through quality improvement, innovation, and outreach with special attention to the poor and vulnerable.
He currently serves as Academic Medicine Fellow with a special interest in recruitment and our visiting medical student experience, and is dedicated to not only teaching and training our residents but also engaging local elementary school students through the Operation HERO program.
Outside of medicine, his interests include basketball, running, and boxing. He also plays bass guitar in a local cover band. Dr. Dela Cruz is a lifelong and avid fan of the Jacksonville Jaguars and all things Duval.
